Beauty

How do you define beauty? Is beauty what we see on the cover of vogue magazines or of the flawless skin that we see in actors and actresses? Is beauty iconic?

In my opinion its just a term or another statement that just brings up judgement. Beauty is another terminology for defining one’s status and it has now grown into the trend of being viewed as a ‘must’ or as a ‘necessity’.

In the past of our early forefathers, as accustomed to nature, we fought for food or for shelter; this simple law that was given to us by nature has now been corrupted. It has been stained for the common man to fight for power or wealth and the only way to secure such feats is to be different or in simple terms to change one’s beauty.

Beauty has now become the centre of attraction to attention; for example try to think of one individual who doesn’t wear makeup? Make up has been revolutionized to give that flawless look, that perfect skin, that perfect shape and color. Been used by both men and women, in any kind of industry, especially in those of media and entertainment.

Of course, beauty is captured because of makeup and that is a definite but what about what lies underneath that layer of makeup? The real you?

Girls now try different types and brands of makeup, boys too are attracted to such artificial feats. Yet the real picture is missing? They say makeup helps one have confidence to wear themselves or its the missing piece of in having a bright future. Ironic how such figurative speeches can be taken so seriously.

Boys would you love your girl or fiancee, if they didn’t wear makeup? Girls do you need makeup to be part of the popular crowd in school or college? Have you defied your own strength and fallen prisoner to the benefits of achieving perfection of beauty? Has beauty become so important that you have forgotten your own worth in life?

We tend to be prisoners to such artificial truths because many of us aren’t aware of the real truth, and that is the real definition of beauty. Beauty, yes can be achieved through these new advanced methods, but what about the beauty that caught your parents’ eyes when they held you for the first time in their arms? What about the beauty that you felt when you wore either a princess frock or stylish suit when you were young for your birthday? You didn’t need makeup then, yet people adored you and you remained yourself.

‘Real beauty is where the heart lies’. It was never about putting on a mask of cream and color, it was being true to your virtues and having a good heart. That is what makes a person beautiful. Good deeds, kind actions and even the warmest words are those that are counted, not the expensive makeup brands or the type of style that you follow from your icons.

Let me ask you, have you seen any actor or actress look the same? It’s an obvious no, that is because they portray their beauty through ingenuity, regardless of the fact that they have to wear makeup. Yet many people try to copy their style or sense of fashion or even their makeup looks. Isn’t it ironic that then there would be two of the same person? Of course some people can be over the bar crazy fanatics, including me, but deep down we must seek the real truth of yourselves.

Our own unique beauty is the only key point and again not through using various creams or colors but by expressing kindness and being kind. How much does it cost you to say a kind word? It has no price tag compared to that of one’s makeup kit. What do you think is your real version of beauty and would you try to achieve it?
